The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has appropriated sixty-nine and half cases of lapsed mixed beverages from a merchant situated at Awba-Ofemmili, Awka North LGA of Anambra State.
The South-East Zonal Coordinator of the CPC, Mrs Ngozika Obidike, who uncovered this to newsmen in Awka, said the seizure was made after protests by occupants of the territory, about conceivable nourishment harming in the wake of devouring a brand of mixed beverages purportedly bought from the wholesaler.
"The complainant, Mr Ikechukwu Nnajidenma and his companions experienced serious cleansing and spewing, which made them to take a gander at the jugs, to discover that the beverages had lapsed.
"We went by the distribution center with policemen, and found that sixty-nine and half containers of the beverages have all lapsed. We rapidly took authority of them for examination," she said.
