    FG Imposes Ban on PTA Levies In Federal Government Colleges

    The Federal Ministry of Education has banned the installment of advancement tolls forced by Parent Teacher Association (PTA's) in Federal Government Colleges to ease the sufferings of guardians.

    The Federal Ministry of Education has banned the installment of advancement tolls forced by Parent Teacher Association (PTA's) in Federal Government Colleges to ease the sufferings of guardians.

    Additionally, no Parent Teacher Association of any Unity College is permitted to start any advancement in Unity Colleges without Federal Government's approval.

    An announcement marked by Mr. Ben Bem Goong, Director Press, Ministry of Education says the new measures are intended to capture the circumstance where advancement demands forced on guardians by PTAs are higher than the school expenses charged by the Federal government.

    While recognizing the integral parts by the PTAs in the universities, the Ministry says it won't permit PTAs to constitute themselves into a parallel Government in the schools to the detriment of guardians
