    "Thomas Gibson has been rejected from Criminal Minds," ABC Studios and CBS Studios said in an announcement. "Inventive subtle elements for how the character's way out will be tended to in the show will be declared at a later date."

    Gibson, 54, has played fan-most loved Aaron Hotchner since the show appeared in 2005, and was suspended in July in the wake of kicking an essayist over "inventive contrasts" while chipping away at a scene he was coordinating. He had not been on set throughout the previous two weeks.
