The Chairman, Board of Trustees,
Alliance for Democracy, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa, on Tuesday, said
that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola
Tinubu, deserved his current travails.
Akinfenwa in a statement made available
to our correspondent said there was no way he would be wooed to work
with Tinubu, adding that the former Lagos State governor had not spoken
to him in the last 15 years.
The political stalwart said he was not ready to work with the former governor.
Specifically, Akinfenwa, who was a
former national chairman of the AD, said he would not be railroaded into
supporting Tinubu, whom he said was scheming to get the support of the
Yoruba.
Akinfenwa, who fell out with Tinubu over
the leadership of the AD more than a decade ago, said Tinubu was the
architect of his own misfortune.
“He knows it will be difficult, if not impossible to woo or induce me as he is gradually succeeding with those he has despised and succeeded in wounding.”
