The Onojie had been suspended for seven days for supposedly assaulting one Mrs. Betty Okoebor on September 28; neglecting to react to an inquiry; and going outside the nation without authorization; and carelessness for surviving directions and laws.
The casualty, joined by her relatives and some Uromi boss, had approached the ruler for absolution at his living arrangement in Benin on Sunday.
An announcement marked by the Chief Press Secretary to the representative, Peter Okhiria, on Thursday said the customary ruler's conciliatory sentiment was contained in a letter dated October 28, 2016, where he was said to have conceded that there was a "squabble" amongst him and the lady.
In the letter titled, 'Letter of Apology to Edo State Government, Re: Suspension from Office as Traditional Ruler of Uromi Kingdom,' the Onojie depicted the occurrence as a "family issue" without the aim to slight a constituted power.
The state cited the ruler as saying, "I felt that the quarrel on 28 September, 2016, amongst me and one of my little girls, which I took to be a family undertaking and which has been determined, sufficed. Betty Okoebor has since taken after the custom and accommodated herself to the position of royalty as a girl."
It included, "I earnestly apologize to the state government for not answering the inquiry inside the stipulated time and for not getting consent before I went outside the nation furthermore for the determined quarrel amongst me and my girl, Betty Okoebor.
"Give me a chance to repeat, your Excellency, that I perceive and regard the power of the Edo State Government with you, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, as the official senator, and I again vow my unalloyed steadfastness."
