Arsenal willing to let Man City target Alexis Sanchez leave on ONE condition
Arsenal will push Alexis Sanchez towards a move to PSG – if the Chilean decides against signing a new deal with the club, according to reports. The one condition is not sell him to any of their direct rivals in the league.
The 28-year-old has a year left on his current contract and has been targeted by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
With Arsenal struggling to keep their place in the top four for the first time since 1996, Sanchez has been tipped for a £50m move away from the Emirates.
And, according to report, Arsene Wenger would rather his star forward join PSG than City or Chelsea.
The report claims that Wenger is friends with the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and would prefer to see Sanchez playing in France than at one of Arsenal’s direct rivals.
Wenger has vowed that the Gunners will not be held to ransom when it comes to the Chilean’s long-term future at the club.
“Some people tell me ‘Just give him what he wants,” he said.
“But then you cannot respect anymore the wage structure and you put the club in trouble as well.
“Always, the club has to be the priority.”
