SIM swapper to serve 10 years in jail, after plead guilty to $5M crypto theft
A 20-year old man who committed SIM swapping crime to 40 phone numbers is reported to accept the plea deal last week, as reported by Motherboard.
According to Santa Clara County’s Deputy District Attorney, Erin West, Joel Ortiz is convicted for a series of crime that has successfully stolen $5 million of money in the form of cryptocurrency.
